January 5 |
Caballero's Latin Jam @ El Zarape, 3201 Adams Ave. (Normal Hgts.) Sorry for the last minute change. My New Years resolution for next year will be to be timelier. That being said, tonite will offer a new venue to start the new year. We are subbing for the regular house band and we will return next week to our Voz Alta digs. In the interim come out and enjoy the cozy confines of the tequila bar at El Zarape. We'll be there later into the evening so that you can treat tonite like a Friday nite! Oh yeah, and the band is teeming with veteranos so it will be smoking. Treat yourself to a tequila shot or two, some great Latin Jazz, and socialize with your friends and neighbors or make some new acquaintances. We'll be waiting for you! |

Chato has a very interesting gallery up right now so you'll want to check it out as well. I've got a VERY good group of musicians for this one so don't miss out!!! |

SUPER MAGNETIC @ The Dream Catcher Lounge, Viejas Casino. 9 PM, Free, 21 and up. It's time for the monthly trip to east county and I don't mind it a bit because I'll be playing with one of the best funk bands in San Diego County. Bring your dancing shoes!!! |

Agua Dulce @ Croce's in the Gaslamp 5th/F St.s. Cover, 8:30 PM, 21 and older. We have been having an absolutely great time the past month at Croce's. The band plays this one well. Come out and see/hear why! |

Olga Cortes & Café Moliendo @ El Zarape, 3201 Adams Ave. (Normal Hgts.) 8:30 to 11:30 PM, free, 21 and older. This is a new venue for us. It's a great restaurant/tequila bar with plenty of ambience and food and tequila. Over 50 brands! Maybe more, I fell asleep after 51. |

Caballero's Latin Jam @ Voz Alta, 7 to - 10 PM, FREE, Barrio Logan, 1754 National Ave. Last week was a keeper. Lynn came in and did a fabulous job as did Ben. Pablo kept it all together as the soul congero. A shout out to Ted Washington and his spoken word not to mention Jesse and the usual suspects. A very creative and inspiring pm. I can irrevocably guarantee more of the same this week. |
